For his upcoming EP, tLas
released his first summer video titled “Iwoni” (You’re the one).
Released in May, it showcases him performing on a steel framed acoustic
piano (holding tucked strings with many tons of pressure) with his band
in the studio. In an attempt to cross-pollinate his music, tLas
incorporates his native language (Yoruba) into English sometimes in what
he calls intercontinental R&B with the hashtag
#intercontinentalR&B, #iwoni, #tlasmusic. According to t-Las, #iwoni
has elements of soul/smooth jazz and is a classic; you’d only have to
listen to believe. It was recorded in one of Northern California’s most
renowned recording studios, Fantasy recording studios, located in
downtown Berkeley. The song was produced during an intense 11 hour
recording session which also includes a video production by director
Brian Bradley for Brian Bradley Films. As a member of the recording
academy (San Francisco Grammy chapter), Tunde (tLas) describes this
project as one that’ll be entered for the upcoming Grammy submission for
nomination, to encourage for high quality production among upcoming
musician in the international community. Tunde has been posting behind

cover videos such as Michael Jackson’s “Love never felt so good”, John
Legend’s “All of me” all under smooth jazz category.

price. It has been three year since then but there had been nothing
official from her indicating that she plans on taking music up
professionally. But now she is set to take the center stage and bring
her music to thousands of expectant fans across the country. This is
what she has to say..
“I
am excited at the coming release of my very first single which will be
out on the 14th of November 2015. It is my very first single since after
the Nigerian Idol experience. I have been featured on several songs at
different times by different artists. Sure the release of my song has
been long due and I really do appreciate all of the people out there who
had had faith in me, shown some concern, supported me and waited
patiently for this time. It sure will take some time to give the details
of why it had taken me this long to put my works out, but summed up in
one word I wanted the right time, and I think the time is right.
While
there have been a lot of uncertainty between society and the Church
about my brand and identity, I like to clear the assumptions; I am a
Gospel Artist. While I hold my views about music as a tool for
communication which should not be limited to the concepts and ideas of
religion, I like to stand out for what I believe.
